Broad City heaped more pressure on Coach Ebinezer’s Iganmu as they won their third game in a row.
Both sides started the game in slow fashion, with one trying to find the Achilles heel of the other. All efforts proved abortive until the 15th minute.
Jeremiah Christopher was felled in the final third as he raced to latch onto a through pass. Captain Adewuyi Ahmed stepped up and made a short pass to Akorede Stephen who sent the ball into the 18-yard area to find Jeremiah Christopher who nodded the ball from close range.
For all their smooth passes in the middle of the park, Iganmu struggled with creating clear-cut chances. Broad City, on the other hand, continued to be defensively solid as they were constant threats going forward.
The status quo for the remainder of the first half and the early parts of the second half stayed the same. Broad City remained on top of the game as Iganmu’s struggles in front of goal continued.
The hosts got the reward for all of their hard work as they doubled their lead five minutes before the final whistle. A defensive error between the goalkeeper and defense left Bakare Ayomide with only an open goal to slot the ball into.
While Coach Ogunmoyero celebrates his third win in three games, Coach Ebenezer has more than enough on his plate as his side has suffered yet another loss.
