Real Sapphire End Maiden Season with Top Four Finish

A draw against Valiant was enough for Real Sapphire as they secured a top four spot.

The hosts didn’t have it easy at first as Valiant came into the game prepared. The visitors stifled all of Real Sapphire’s efforts, forcing them into errors and threatening to score. They would eventually break the deadlock.

The hosts were caught napping on the break in the 30th minute as Valiant took advantage of a defensive mix-up. Hammed Saheed leapt the highest to nod the ball home and gift his side the lead.

The second half began with Real Sapphire creating chances but failing to convert them. Valiant seemed destined to finish the season with an away win. But all that turned on its head as Joshua Ibrahim rose the highest in the 76th minute to head home from close range.

Both sides would go on to settle for a draw, an important one for Real Sapphire as they finish their maiden TCC League campaign in a top four spot
