Another Tight Win for Real Sapphire as they move into Fourth

Real Sapphire took another step in recording an amazing first TCC League season with a triumph over Sporting Lagos.

Both teams started the game on the front foot, creating chances with touches in the opposition boxes. Both sides were however not clinical, wasting their chances as the first few minutes went by.

With 14 minutes gone on the clock, the visitors took the lead thanks to a well-drilled shot by Ibrahim Yusuf from 25 yards out. The goal would separate both sides until the break as all of Sporting Lagos’ attempts proved futile.

The story was the same in the second half as the hosts remained on top of the game but were thwarted by a solid defensive display by Real Sapphire. The newcomers would go on to keep their fourth clean sheet of the season, a feat that has now pushed them up to fourth on the log.
