Tigers Come up Short in Sapphire Showdown

One goal in each half was enough to help Real Sapphire secure victory over Iganmu.

Fresh from their 5-1 demolition of Dannaz, Coach Aurthur’s side came into the game full of confidence. And it didn’t take long for that confidence to translate into a goal as they broke the deadlock in the 5th minutem Ibrahim Joshua’s deft header directed the ball into the bottom corner to put the hosts in front.

All would be quiet on the Western front until the second half as both sides pushed for a goal. The hosts again won that race as Omenka Promise rose highest to nod the ball home from a corner-kick. Those two goals would make all the difference as Real Sapphire continued their quest to end the season on a high.
