Broad City continued their push towards the top with victory over Iganmu.
Both sides started the clash evenly matched as the chances were far and few in between. Iganmu’s eagerness to get goals was toned down by caution. The same was simultaneously happening to Broad City as none of the two sides wanted to concede the first goal.
The deadlock would finally be broken, this time in the 57th minute, as Broad City raced into the lead. Bakare Ayomide put the ball in the far right-hand corner of the net as he broke loose on the counter.
20 minutes later, Jeremiah Christopher got Broad City, rocketing the ball home from close range after Sanusi Hanif’s cut-back pass. Iganmu failed to score as Broad City kept a clean sheet, won maximum points and climbed into fifth.
