Title Run-in: Gbagada Falls Behind at Dannaz

Gbagada suffered a 2-1 defeat at Dannaz, missing the chance to keep up the pace with the leading pack.

Having failed to score in their previous game, the Blue Eagles came into the clash desperate to get an early goal. And they would get the breakthrough in the 21st minute, when Semiu Fagbayi converted from the spot.

They were however unable to take that lead into the break, as a resilient Dannaz pulled one back in the 47th minute.

The second half began with both sides pushing for the game’s third goal. For all of Gbagada’s efforts however, it was Dannaz who took the lead in the 79th minute. There would be no coming back for Gbagada as the hosts pulled off a surprise win; an important victory that strengthened their grip on 10th place.
