Beyond Limits further asserted their league dominance with a win on a rare night of TCC League action.
Hosting Sporting Lagos, the hosts tested the goalkeeper within minutes of the game. But Arierhi’s attempt was tipped over the bar. Five minutes later, Coach Olumide’s men again found space on Sporting Lagos’ left flank. This time Adegboyega Lekan’s cross found Chukwudi Isaac, who composed himself before firing in the opener.
Sporting Lagos passed on two big chances to level matters with Opeyemi Yusuf failing to convert. Beyond Limits would go on to punish the visitors by scoring a second, this time in the second half. Oyetunde Taiwo-cole’s cross from the left flank (again) found Ariehi Kparobo who tucked the ball in from close range.
Just after the hour mark, Adnan Kabir increased Beyond’s Limit’s lead with a fiery shot that rattled the onion bag. Awelewa Michael was on hand to pull one back for Sporting Lagos eight minutes later.
But it was the hosts who had the final say as an unmarked Ogundare Farouq tapped home the fourth from an Adegboyega cross. The win puts Beyond Limits just one win away from securing a fourth consecutive championship.
