Sporting Lagos Continue Wait for First Win of the Season

For the first time this season, a TCC League game ended goalless as Real Sapphire and Sporting Lagos fired blanks.

The Lagosians started the game the better side, creating early chances in the game. They however weren’t as clinical as they should have been, wasting chances. Half an hour into the game, Real Sapphire as questions of their own. The Sporting Lagos defensive was however on hand to ward off the danger.

Two minutes from half-time, Sporting Lagos came close to opening their account. But Mohammed’s shot, instead of finding its way into the net, rattled the crossbar, leaving both sides without a goal going into the break. In the 2nd half, it was Real Sapphihre’s turn to quiz their hosts’ defense. 13 minutes from time, a Real Sapphire onslaught came close to gifting the visitors the lead. Ibrahim Musa was however on hand to thwart the danger and keep proceedings even.

The score-line would remain the same until the final whistle, with both sides going home with a point.
