Imperial Continue Impressive Start with Another Win

Imperial defeated Dino SC 1-0 to register back-to-back victories and keep clean sheets in their first two games of a TCC League season for the first time ever.

Coach Franklin’s boys began the game on the front foot, threatening Dino’s goal minutes into the game. They however let their chances go begging, and were unable to take the early lead. At the other end, the story was the same, both sides guilty of fluffing their chances.

Like they did the first, both sides sustained the onslaught on each other’s goal, looking for the opener. Both sides would go on to hit the woodwork before Imperial broke the deadlock in the 80th minute. A poor Dino clearance fell kindly to David Aremo in the 18-yard area. The midfielder chose placement over power, directing his shot beyond Godstime Sunday to put Imperial ahead.

That goal was enough to secure victory for the hosts who continue their fine start to the season.
