Spoils Shared in Topsy-Turvy Six-Goal Affair

Iganmu continued their fine start to the season with a 3-3 thriller against Beyond Limits.

After scoring four in their opener, the Tigers continued their fine scoring form in a keenly contested tie against the reigning champions. But it was not without its own drama as they went behind in the 7th minute. Olarinsoye Taiwo was in the right place at the right time to convert from close range after a fantastic cross from the left.

With Beyond Limits failing to extend their lead, the hosts drew level in the 25th minute thanks to a superb strike from Adeleke Olajide. The winger found space and time on the left edge of the 18-yard area, before curling the ball into the top right hand corner, scoring an early Goal of the Season contender.

Riding on the momentum, Iganmu struck again eight minutes later. Omiwale Shakiru’s low drive was too powerful to contain as the Tigers went ahead. A minute into the 2nd half, Adefowope Abayomi latched onto a defensive mix-up to extend Iganmu’s lead.

The visitors, defiant in their play, halved the deficit two minutes later through a pile driver from Gbemahouzou Ishola 30 yards out, a Goal of the Season contender. The visitors bombarded their hosts in search of a third goal. And after several missed chances, a goal mouth melee and back-to-back fantastic saves by Mikel in goal, they found a breakthrough. Saka Yusuf’s low effort from the edge of the area rolled into the bottom left corner of the goal for the equalizer.

The dramatic game came to an end, with both sides sharing the spoils, and the clash jumping to the top of the list of most exciting games in the 2026/2027 TCC League season.
