Late Goal Not Enough as Atlantic Business Continue Wait for First Win of the Season

Atlantic Business’ wait for a first win of the season continues after their 1-1 draw against Dannaz.

The Business Team began the game in high, registering early attempts in a bid to take the lead. They were however denied by a sturdy Dannaz defense that gave little away. In the 22nd minute, against the run of play, the visitors raced into the lead through Akhigbe. He finished in style after a defense-splitting pass found him behind enemy lines.

The rattled home side regained their composure and continued to press, this time for an equalizer. And that pressure paid off in the 48th minute. Kolawole Odulaja was brought down in the 18-yard area, winning a penalty for Coach Adiro’s team. Obus Joshua however saw his penalty kick – sent down the middle – saved.

Relentless, they continued to press for an equalizer. And they found the breakthrough four minutes from time. Olanrewaju Michael was on hand to finish off a well-worked move, slotting the ball beneath Chukwuebuka’s legs to draw the hosts level. hIs would be the last goal of the game as both sides settled for a point apiece.
