Sporting Lagos and Atlantic Business canceled out each other as both sides scored three times.
The hosts were put under pressure from the blast of the whistle with Atlantic Business pressing for an early goal.
Save for a goal-line clearance in the 20th minute by the visitors, the game was largely uneventful. It took 34 minutes of play before the first goal came – a free-kick which was converted by Atlantic Business.
But the hosts pulled themselves just before halftime, taking advantage of a poor clearance by the goalkeeper.
Atlantic again drew first blood in the second half after putting together a fine string of passes which rattled the Sporting defense and finished off with the ball in the back of the net. Seven minutes later, Sporting Lagos again drew level, again taking advantage of the poor defending of their visitors.
The twist and turn continued as the hosts raced into the lead for the first time in the 79th minute. But there was still time for one final plot in the game: Atlantic Business’ third goal, which came in the first minute of stoppage time.
Both sides would have to settle for a draw as the TCC League produced yet another classic to be remembered.
