Valiant’s bid to climb out of the bottom quarter of the table suffered a setback as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to VOE.
The Brave Boys had opened the game with an early Gafar Olaniyan goal, setting the pace for the game. The hosts dominated the half, leaving no room for VOE to hurt them But failure to add to their goal tally would come back to hurt them in the second half.
Coach Balogun’s half-time pep talk worked like magic as VOE got their first four minutes after kick-off. Abdulraheem Taiwo pulled the visitors level before his twin, Abdulraheem Kehinde, scored VOE’s second 17 minutes later. Bashir Al Ameen would add cherry on the cake 10 minutes from time to complete VOE’s come-back.
It’s an impressive win for VOE as they’ve now won back-to-back league games for the first time this season. For Valiant, it’s quickly becoming a league season to forget.
MAN OF THE MATCH
