Dino continued their fine scoring form with a 4-1 triumph over Real Sapphire.
It was however the home team that scored the first goal of the game. After winning the ball in his own half, Abdulmajid Bawa went on a fine run before a sweet finish to get Sapphire’s first.
A few missed chances later, Dino found their equalizer two minutes from half-time. Patrick John found himself without a marker in the 18-yard area and didn’t disappoint from close range.
Dino started the second half just like they ended the first, scoring within five minutes after the restart. Patrick John was again the fox in the box as he tapped in from close range, making the most of Samuel Asogbon’s cross.
Patrick John completed his hat-trick in the 54th minute, this time losing his marker before side-footing the ball past Sunday Ali. Dino got a fourth in the third minute of stoppage time as James Okpe was on hand to score a rebound after the ball bounced off the woodwork.
The win sees Dino keep their eyes on the log leaders as the title run-in continues.
