Atlantic Business came from two goals down to register a 3-2 win against Broad City in the most exciting game of the round.
Both sides started the game with intent, creating chances. But it was Broad City who took the lead in the 28th minute. Talent George outpaced his marker before tucking the ball in the far left of the goal with a trivela.
Five minutes from time, the visitors struck again. But that was not before both sides failed to convert some big chances.
In the 40th minute, Christopher Jeremiah extended the visitors’ lead. After stealing the ball from Bolaji Abdulraman, the attacker raced clear on goal. Still a good distance from the goal mouth, he curled one past Solomon Dominic, catching the goalie offguard and scoring another beautiful goal.
Coach Japheth’s half-time pep talk and substitution proved to be a game-changer as the hosts halved the deficit five minutes into the 2nd half. Tantolorun’s header from a corner-kick bumbled past everyone and into the net, halving the deficit and proving Coach Japheth right for introducing him in the half.
In the 65th minute, and nine minutes after Solomon Dominic got his marching orders for a reckless challenge, Tantolorun struck again, drawing his side level. After gathering a loose ball in the box, he slotted it home smoothly to even matters on the pitch.
The goal changed the tempo of the game as both sides intensified play, looking to bag the winner. The hosts would, however, have the last say, with Olumide Akinwande completing the turnaround with his goal.
