7th Heaven for Gbagada as pick up first league win of the year

Gbagada started the second half of their campaign with a win over Escola United.

The Blue Eagles started in fine fashion, with Omolaja forcing a save from Adebayo Adeyemi in the 10th minute of play. A quiet 27 minutes later, Alfred Segun was on hand at the near post to nod the ball home. First blood, Gbagada.

Escola resumed the second half looking to better their fortunes. They were however overpowered by the hosts who seemed determined to get a second. 15 minutes after play resumed, Gabriel doubled Gbagada’s lead after Escola’s failure to clear their lines. It was his debut goal after coming on for Gome Namene. Gbagada’s defense ensured a thorough job by keeping Escola at bay and keeping a clean sheet.

It’s a good start to the second half of the campaign for Gbagada while the pressure mounts for newcomers, Escola.
