Another Valiant game ends in a draw

Valiant made it five draws (out of 10 games) as they failed to defeat Dannaz.

With both sides seeking precious points necessary to climb out of the bottom half of the table, they entered the game with vigor.

With the pace of the game, it didn’t take long before the first goal was scored. Joshua Obakimi of Dannaz drew first blood, before Oyindamola Sanusi responded in kind for the visitors.

Both teams were evenly matched, thereby making for a keenly contested game.

The search for a winner saw Obakimi rattle the net again. But just like in the first half, Oyindamola responded, yet again, 15 minutes from time, to draw Valiant level again.

This draw means that, for Coach Owolabi, five of the eight points garnered have now come from games that ended in a draw. That’s a worrying trend. They’ll be looking to do better as the second half of the season approaches.
