Escola begin TCC journey with victory over Iganmu

Escola United defeated Iganmu Tiger 3-1 at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode to begin their TCC League journey on a winning note.

The Scholars, who are one of the two new teams in the TCC League this term, started on the back foot as they conceded from an early corner that was headed in by Raheem Ogede in the 5th minute. 

The visitors were not in front for long as the debutantes got their first-ever TCC goal through Abass Adeniyi who finished off a fine ball from Lukman Adigun. It was even until the halftime break.

After the interval, Escola showed more desire and they were rewarded with two goals in three second half minutes. Skipper Moyo Onikoyi fired home from outside the box before Joshua Blessing bundled home from inside the box moments later.

Iganmu failed to get going after those goals and when they had the chance to reduce the deficit Fuad Isiaka and Raheem missed criminally. 

In the end, Escola held on to begin their journey on a positive note. More worry for Iganmu Tiger who started on a defeat note like they did last season.
