The Creative Championship League Cup returns with the first leg of the semi-final clashes. Valiant play host to the Blue Eagles on Wednesday evening at the Agege Stadium.

Both Valiant and Gbagada FC made it to this round, though it was difficult, by beating Iganmu FC and  Imperial FC respectively in the previous round.

Meanwhile, the TCC league returned over the weekend and Valiant showed no sign of rustiness when they pummeled Emmydinho 5-0 while Gbagada battled to an uninspiring goalless draw at Iganmu FC.

Cup form is usually different and could be the same here. They have met twice in the league this season already. A draw and a win for this first leg visitors is how things stand.

Coach Achieve Yunus and Coach Akinyelu Olajide, both contrasting characters on the touchline, and believers of different systems, will be keen to hold a first leg advantage after the conclusion of this game.

Valiant score goals for fun while Gbagada have been stingy in conceding. So it is defence against attack on Wednesday and this should be a spectacle. Exciting match up it is; fireworks are expected in this fixture.
