A pulsating, yet delicately poised encounter awaits in Ijebu Ode as table toppers Remo Stars U19 make a trip across the Gateway state to play Ijebu United on Saturday.

It is the first league game in two weeks for either side due to every TCC club’s involvement in the League Cup, that has now produced the semi-finalists.

The home side have been largely inconsistent in the TCC league this term. When both sides met in the reverse fixture in Ikenne, it finished in a 1-1 draw and the Olisa Boys nearly ran away with a win.

However, things have not changed much as the homers have won just a game since the turn of the year, with a draw and a home loss to Gbagada completing the sequence. The visitors, Remo Stars U19, have somehow managed to stay on top since they usurped Valiant FC earlier in the year.

The exit of Jabaar Ibrahim, who has joined PSL side Stellenbosch FC, could further dampen the chances of the home side in this game and their season going forward. However, this could be an opportunity for others to rise to the occasion and reignite their season.
