As midweek action begins in the TCC Cup for the first time this campaign, it will be a clash between two teams struggling for relevance in the push for a semi-final spot in the tournament.

Valiant FC, who won their opening game 2-1 vs Dino, were bashed 4-1 by last year’s finalists Beyond Limits last time out while Emmydinho forced the same opposition to a 1-1 draw on Saturday to make it two draws out of three games.

Emmydinho are playing their last game of the group stages and would be keen to end with a win if they want to make the final four. However, Valiant stood a better chance after registering a win from two games. 

Both sides met in the league last term but it was Valiant who dominated emphatically, scoring 8 goals in two games against Emmanuel Ayeni’s men.

With no clean sheet recorded in the tournament so far, this fixture is expected to have goals in it.
