The fourth league iteration of TCC’s El Grand Clasico is the biggest yet, and if it doesn’t deliver fireworks, you wonder what will. The title match, it is the game that decides where this season’s trophy may well land. 

Gbagada, the challengers and TCC Cup Champions, are six points adrift off their table topping rivals, Beyond Limits. and just like all those Clasicos a decade ago that came down to battles at one venue, this could be another. 

Beyond Limits arrive in their pomp, unbeaten for the better part of the last two months, Gbagada, not so much, their biggest bane being points dropped from winning positions. 

Coach Akinyelu’s men earned a reputation for defensive notoriety, but have seemingly lost their touch in recent weeks. Coach Ajibola’s Beyond Limits are the hallmark of swagger, and have not strayed from those tenets. Aesthetics or not, they are a testament to the efficiency of Joga Bonito. Where best to exhibit this than a win over their rivals to claim a second straight league title, before turning sights on NLO promotion.
