Legacy Pitch, Surulere
The opening game of Matchweek 15 will see Gbagada host Sporting Lagos in Surulere.
Both sides, although miles apart on the log table, have everything to fight for in this clash.
After what seemed to be a resurgent start to the year for the Blue Eagles, Gbagada finished January with a 2-1 loss to Beyond Limits. It was their first loss of the year, the first of a run that had seen them go three without defeat.
Coach Akinyelu’s men will be looking to bounce back from that defeat with the hopes of starting the new month on a winning note.
They will however be met with a stiff opposition in the form of Sporting Lagos.
Asides scoring six goals in their last three games, the not-so-newcomers to the league also managed two clean sheets in January.
With just four points between them and the top spot, closing the gap will be the mission for Sporting Lagos this weekend.
STAT ATTACK
Sporting Lagos have recorded the second-highest ball possession percentage this season, with 54%. Custodians
