PREVIEW: MD8 – Sporting Lagos v Dannaz

Sporting Lagos v Dannaz

Friday, 30th October, 2026

Legacy Pitch, Surulere

11AM

Sporting Lagos may be unbeaten after seven games. But with five of those games ending in stalemates, the Lagosians are starving for championship wins. And they’ll be looking to grab one this weekend when they host Dannaz.

With the second-best defense in the league, victory against the side in last place should be a walk in the park. The Cedars, without a win this season, and having conceded an average of three goals per game, come into the tie with a long shot of winning.

But their hosts this weekend are far from being the most prolific side in the league. With just nine goals, they’re averaging just over one goal per game. With the hosts not posing much of a threat upfront, and visitors shipping goals, which way will this one go?

STAT ATTACK

5 – Sporting Lagos’ five draws is the most any side has managed in the championship this season

PLAYER TO WATCH
