PREVIEW: MD6 – Real Sapphire v Iganmu

Real Sapphire v Iganmu
Sunday, 18th October, 2026
Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode
10AM
The Tigers have two mountains to surmount when they travel to face Real Sapphire this weekend.
Since their Opening Day victory, the wins have disappeared for Coach Henry’s side. Now without a win in their last four, and having slipped down to 7th on the log, they must find a way to get back to winning ways. They will be drawing confidence from the fact that their only win of the season so far has come on away grounds.
Staring that confidence in the eye however, is their odd record against their hosts. Defeated three times, Iganmu have failed to get the better of Coach Daniel’s boys in their last four championship clashes. Can they take advantage of Real Sapphire’s poor home spell (just one win) this weekend?
STAT ATTACK
Iganmu have only scored once in their last four championship ties against Real Sapphire.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Lateef Abdulazeez (Real Sapphire)
His brace last week put his side in a commanding position. He’ll be looking to get in on the scoring action again this weekend.
