PREVIEW: MD3 – Valiant v Sporting Lagos FA

Valiant v Sporting Lagos FA

Friday, 25th September 2026

Legacy Pitch, Surulere

11AM

Valiant host Sporting Lagos in the weekend opener as both sides search for the first Championship win of the season.

The search for a first win of the season is not the only thing both sides have in common. With two points from their opening two games and just two goals scored, Sporting Lagos’ struggles have been evident.

However, it’s still early days, with plenty of time for both sides to pick up their form, starting with a win in this clash. For the visitors, the odds are in their favour thanks to their history against the Brave Boys. But will that be enough to see them through?

STAT ATTACK

Sporting Lagos have scored 10 of the 12 goals scored in the past four Championship meetings between these two sides.

PLAYER TO WATCH
