Iganmu vs Imperial

Saturday 14th October

Time: 10AM

Onikan Stadium

Imperial are on the cusp of something special. Coach Ayeoba Adedeji’s side have never won their opening two games in TCC League history, however this team is different. They play like a coordinated orchestra, and if any, their Matchday 1 win over Gbagada’s Blue Eagles reinforced their status as a dangerous team.

Iganmu Tiger on the other hand were lacklustre. The Tiger have not been good starters either, and in all three previous TCC seasons, they have not won a single Matchday 2 fixture. In fact, they have picked up four points from their six opening round of matches in TCC history. The caveat is to turnaround that stat when they host Imperial. Whether they can is another topic entirely.

Coach Ebenezer Nwankwo has a job on his hands after the opening day reversal to Escola United. The team were lacklustre, and apart from the late consolation strike, seemed to still suffer from summer exertions. His priority after that game? Get them a first home opening win.

STAT ATTACK

4- The number of draws in 6 previous meetings between both sides. Imperial have won the other two.

MAN TO WATCH

Ezeno Chidera (Imperial)

A cultured forward, Chidera is a handful in one v one situations and will create problems for Iganmu’s frail defensive line.
