TCCL team of the Week (Gameweek 9)

24th February, 2022

Goalkeeper

Jimoh Godwin (Atlantic Business)

It’s quite rare to see a goalkeeper with two penalty saves in a single game. Jimoh did this against Imperial to help his side avoid defeat and went on to keep a clean sheet in the end.

Defenders

Bunmi Akande  (Imperial)

A commanding performance in a game of many chances. Effortless in the tackle.

Ahmed Akinyele (Beyond Limit)

Led from the back in the victory with a masterful shift. More of the same please!

Henry Azimi (Dino)

Shut the Blue Eagles aerial and earth attacks. A beacon.

Midfielders

Ogungbe Ayomide (Beyond Limits)

Another scoring matchweek for the midfielder. It was a fabulous weekend for him and the rest of the team.

Oluwaseun Odunsi (Beyond Limits)

Two assists in the rout for Seun. He’s slowly reaching that level he played last campaign.

Adeola David (Iganmu)

He was the shining light in the narrow win. Excellent showing in the important fixture.

Ezekiel Bright (Valiant)

Another reward for the marauding defender. He ran his socks off to ensure his side recorded a win on the road.

Forward

Moshood Moruf (Beyond Limits)

His hat-trick of goals was immense forthe Remo-based side as they trumped Emmydinho

Tanimola Saoban (Valiant)

A constant threat, his goal separated the two sides, handing Valiant a rare win.

Lanre Ahmed (Beyond Limits)

His double against Emmydinho was a direct result of how efficient he was on the day.

Coach

Olumide Ajibolade (Beyond Limit)

Engineering the joint-largest win in TCC League history is no mean feat. For the manager, he was tactically astute on the day, outshining his opposing manager on the touchline.
