TCCL team of the Week (Gameweek 3)

3rd February, 2022

Goalkeeper

Gideon Ede (Dino SC)

Key performer in his side’s maiden win of the campaign. Ede kept a clean sheet and made brilliant stops in the home victory.

Defenders

Daniel Seidu (Valiant)

The centre back stood tall as his side failed to find the cutting edge down the other end, putting in a solid display for the ages.

Uche Endurance (Atlantic Business)

Stayed true to his name with a top tier performance. One to watch this season.

Afolayan Peters (Dino)

Once again a colossus commanding the rest of the field astutely.

Midfielders

Hycinth Ogbonna (Dino SC)

In his first game for Dino this season, Hycinth got himself a goal and also helped Dino to a first win of the season in three games.

Titus Bulus (BroadCity FC)

Although BroadCity were confined to a back-to-back loss, Titus was a shining light against Emmydinho. His ability to read the game and control its pace meant his side were always within touching distance till the final whistle.

Mustafa Toyin (Emmydinho)

Mustafa was instrumental in helping Emmydinho pick up their first three points of the season.

Balogun Wasiu (Gbagada)

Gbagada’s win over the reigning champions was a smash-and-grab win for the Blue Eagles, master-minded by Balogun Wasiu. Asides being on hand to poke home from close range, the midfielder also put in a tireless effort to ensure that their early lead turned into another win.

Amaechi Christoffer (Emmydinho)

Amaechi was central to helping his side win against the odds in their clash against BroadCity.

Forward

Chidera Ezeno (Imperial)

The x-factor in his side’s win at Valiant. Two well-taken goals, a man of the match award and has been rightfully listed in the TOTW. What a week for him!.

Elijah Adekunle (Dino SC)

He missed a penalty in the game, but still managed to turn that around to score the opening goal and lead his side to their first win of the campaign.

Coach

Adiro Olayinka (Atlantic Business)

The coach showed great tactical nous to secure the win, and has galvanized a team that failed to impress in the TCC Cup
