Legacy Pitch, Surulere

11AM

Unbeaten Sporting Lagos tackle winless VOE FA in this MatchDay 6 opener.

The sixth-placed side enter the game with no defeats in five, but with only two wins to their name. Catching up with the table leaders this weekend hinges heavily on being able to pick up their second home victory.

Boasting the league’s joint-best defense, with just three goals conceded, they come into the game as favorites. Up against an opposition that has shipped an average of two goals per game this season, and it’s almost like everything’s set for a Sporting Lagos win.

Will VOE FA just roll over for their hosts? Or will they push back and register their first win of the season?

STAT ATTACK

VOE FA, after five games this season, are yet to keep a clean sheet.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Abdullahi Aminu (Sporting Lagos)

His goal pulled earned his side a point last week. He’ll be hoping to do one better and contribute to a win this weekend.
