The stage is set, and the wait is over as the seventh TCC League season gets underway this weekend. And what better way to kick things off than with a Lagos derby between Gbagada and Sporting Lagos FA?
It’s a first meeting in a league opener for both sides as another title race gets underway. And, for a league fixture that has seen at least three goals scored in five of its last eight editions, the 2026/2027 TCC League season is about to start on an explosive note.
The visitors come into the game hoping to rewrite their history. For a second time – in a row – they start their campaign on the road. And they’ll be hoping for a better start to the season than last season, when they lost 3-1 to Beyond Limits in their opening fixture.
