TCC Cup hostilities resume this week as games come in thick and fast for all participating teams.
In Group A, two teams will have their sights set on bagging another cup victory. For Imperial, it’s the first TCC Cup at their Odogbolu ground. They’ll be hoping to follow up their victory on the road on MatchDay 1 with a home triumph and another clean sheet against Dino.
VOE will have the same target too when they welcome Real Sapphire. After bouncing back to winning ways in the league days ago, they’ve got the win in their sails. They’ll be hoping to ride on the momentum to a first home triumph in the TCC Cup this season.
In Group B, all eyes will be on Dannaz and Beyond Limits – the only two sides to record victory on MatchDay 1.
The Cedars may have scored just once in their last three league games. But they scored three times in their opening TCC Cup game this season. And recreating that form will be the objective this week when they tackle Beyond Limits – just four days after losing to the same opponent, no thanks to a 90+6’ minute goal. While Atlantic Business host the Tigers, Gbagada and Sporting Lagos will face off in the second Lagos derby of the season. When both sides met in the league earlier this season, Sporting Lagos came out on top with a 3-1 victory. Will it be the same story when both sides meet again? Or, will Gbagada pick up their first TCC Cup win with victory over their city rivals?
