Valiant, also one of the teams that have participated in the league since its inception, had another difficult season under their belt. The Brave boys moved to the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode for their home games, but it seems they failed to get used to the stadium in time.
In the season under review, Valiant finished the season second from bottom with 12 points – three wins, three draws, and 16 losses. It was indeed a difficult one for a side that has finished in the top three before.
The season got underway with four consecutive losses to Atlantic Business, Imperial, Real Sapphire, and Dannaz. Quite unusual for the Brave boys, as much was expected. First win of the season came on match day five in a hard-fought 3-2 win over Iganmu at home. However, the defeats returned against Sporting Lagos and Beyond Limits before a second win of the season against VOE on match day 8. Valiant ended the first stanza with a goalless draw with Broad City after defeats to Dino and Gbagada.
In the second half of the season, Valiant won just a game, and it came against Iganmu Tiger on match day 18. Other notable results in the second stanza came against Sporting Lagos and Beyond Limits – two valuable stalemates, one must say. Winger Olaniyan Gafar was prominent once again this season, and it is not surprising that he moved up to the Nigeria National League with Inter Lagos shortly before the end of the season.
In the Cup competition, Valiant, champions in 2023, also struggled as they failed to make it out of the group once again.
