Dannaz finished 10th in the league in the 2023/24 season, and they repeated the same thing this term. The Cedars have been in and around the bottom six since their debut in the league, and not much was expected before the season kicked off. However, they had some brilliant individual performances that left a mark on the season as a whole.
Dannaz started the season with a 4-0 loss at the hands of Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos. The second league game of the season was against defending champions Beyond Limits, and they lost 4-1. They made it a hat-trick of losses with a narrow 1-0 loss to Gbagada before earning their first win of the season against Valiant on match day four.
In the second win of the season against Iganmu Tiger on match day seven, Shuaib Muhammad made history as the second Dannaz player after Joshua Obakimi to score a hat-trick in the TCC League. Dannaz ended the first stanza with a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Real Sapphire. Shortly after the resumption of the season, the Cedars went on a losing streak of four games before beating Iganmu Tiger to complete the double over them. In the remaining six games of the season, Dannaz secured two more wins to finish the season with a total of 17 points, three short of last season’s tally.
In the Cup competition, Dannaz also struggled as they failed to make it out of the group once again.
