A seventh-place finish last season was a reasonable achievement for Atlantic Business. But their business needed more. And so they began the 2024/2025 TCC season, aiming for a higher finish and a possible trophy.
First Half of the Season
Their league business kicked off in style as they won their first two games. All the euphoria around that fine start, however, disappeared fast as they failed to register a win in their next four. The slump in form saw them concede eight goals in four as they struggled to keep out their opponents.
November was their best month as they scored 10 goals in four games. That run, however, only pushed them as high as fifth. It’d also be the last month they recorded a league win in the year, as they went on another drab run in December.
In the League Cup, their three wins were just enough to secure qualification to the next round.
Second Half of the Season
January was a strange month for Atlantic Business. Their first game ended in a 5-1 drubbing at Beyond Limits. They bounced back to winning ways in the following game, defeating Dino 4-1. They’d suffer another loss before finishing things off with another 4-1 triumph over Dannaz.
Five goals against VOE and seven against Imperial saw them blitz through February. They continued their charge to a Top Four finish in March as they recorded victories in their final three games of the season. Two more goals and they would have finished in third. But besting all but three teams is still a feat to be proud of.
There’d be no such testimony in the League Cup as they were ousted by Beyond Limits in the quarter-finals.
