Beyond Limits held at home by Atlantic Business

Beyond Limits and Atlantic Business played out a goalless draw in the TCC League in Ikenne on Saturday.

Beyond Limits defeated Dannaz in their last game and were hoping for some consolidation, while Atlantic Business were pegged back late on against Emmydinho and came into this encounter with a bit of confidence.

It was the hosts who started brightly and asked all the questions in the opening half of the game. However, none of that seemed to trouble the visitors as they held firm.

More chances fell to the Junior Sky Blue Stars before the HT break but they couldn’t convert as the visitors struggled to get out of first gear.

After the break, coach Olumide Ajibolade’s boys came out fighting and created another goalscoring chance before the hour mark but Muyideen Olude couldn’t find the right angle as the ball went over the bar. 

Moments later, it was Shola Ogundana’s attempt that was saved by the goalkeeper before Faruq Ogundare’s effort went off target in the 64th minute.

Coach Adiro Olayinka’s side got a rare goal opportunity in the 70th minute but the effort crashed against the woodwork as the hosts survived the scare.

Despite the late efforts from either side to find a winning goal, none materialised as they settled for a share of the spoils.
