Dannaz delivered a strong performance in Ikenne to beat Imperial 3-1 in their match week 15 clash played on Saturday.
Imperial have been quite impressive this season and have been hovering around the top three for a while now. Similarly, Dannaz have nicked excellent results over the course of the season and have spent more time in the top five this term.
As we have seen in many of their games this season, Imperial conceded two quick-fire goals from the Cedars. Salaudeen Basit and Mehmud Hammed scored in the opening quarter of the game to put the visitors in the driving seat.
Coach Adedeji Ayeoba’s side stepped up their game and were duly rewarded with a goal through Yusuf Salau in the 25th minute. Meanwhile, on the stroke of halftime, Dannaz got their two-goal cushion back through Temitope Abiodun.
Imperial huffed and puffed in the second half but it did not produce a goal as the game finished in a disappointing home loss and a huge win for Fatai Akande’s Dannaz.
