Atlantic Business proved too much for Broad City to handle as they walloped their hosts 5-2.
The visitors, seeking a third win on the bounce, got off the mark early, with Donald Lawrence breaking the deadlock in the 3rd minute. Just before the 20th minute mark, Timi Destiny extended Atlantic’s lead, finishing in style after a great assist from Dimeji Kilani.
Broad City replied with two quick goals – Christopher Jeremiah scoring the second from the spot – drawing level at the end of the first half.
17 minutes into the 2nd half, Broad City went behind again, with another Donald Lawrence goal that needed VAR confirmation. Olumide restored Atlantic’s two-goal lead in the 83rd minute before Dimeji Kilani capped an amazing evening with the game’s seventh goal.
The win keeps Atlantic Business within touching distance of the log leaders. It’s also the fourth time this season that Coach Japheth’s side has scored 4+ goals in a TCC League game.
