Blue Eagles Hand Beyond Limits Back-to-Back Home Defeats

Gbagada returned to winning ways with an impressive victory over the reigning champions, Beyond Limits.

The contest started off as a quiet affair, with little to no action in the first 30 minutes. Paul would come close to opening the scoring in the 37th minute but the chance went begging. The half would fizzle out with both sides unable to break the deadlock.

The second half resumed with both sides still chasing the opener. But like in the first half, both sides were lacking clinicality in front of goal. Chances went begging and it seemed both sides would settle for a point.

But the visitors would have the final say, in the second minute of stoppage time. Beyond Limits failed to clear their lines after a free-kick, leaving the door open for the visitors. Taiwo Akire seized the opportunity in style, and with a bicycle kick, scored the only goal of the game.

The defeat is Beyond Limits’ second in a row, a result that sees them slide to fourth on the log.
