Dannaz picked up a first win in six games with a 2-1 victory over VOE FA. But it was anything but a smooth run for the Cedars.
The game began as a quiet affair, with both sides evenly matched. The visitors, however broke the silence in the 42nd minute as they scored the first goal of the game, thanks to Opatokun Abiola.
By the start of the 2nd half, the hosts looked set for yet another league game without a win. But Abdulrahman Adesokan flipped the script in the 62nd minute, firing his free kick above the wall and into the roof of the net.
Riding on the wave of momentum, Dannaz raced into the lead 11 minutes later through Sunday Osarenkhoe. The substitute beat the offside trap to finish off a counterattacking move which caught the VOE defense off guard.
His goal would make the difference as Dannaz recorded a first victory against VOE in their third attempt.
