Dino Held at Beyond Limits for a Fifth Draw of the (Young) Season

Beyond Limits and Dino settled for a draw in a dramatic TCC League fixture played under the floodlights.

The visitors came into the game seeking a win, having drawn four of their seven league games. And they started out on enemy turf in fine fashion, creating chance after chance. They were however met with an unyielding goalkeeper whose saves kept the score level.

But there was little Daniel Aiyenugba in goal could do about the opener on the stroke of half-time. A low cross from the left was deflected into the path of a Dino player who tapped home from close range.

The hosts, staring defeat in the face, intensified their efforts in the second half. But the story stayed the same – with chance after chance going begging for Coach Olumide’s lads. From goalkeeper saves to being denied by the woodwork, Beyond Limits seemed destined for a defeat.

But all of that changed when the hosts won a penalty deep into stoppage time. Oluwaseyi Ogunniyi stepped up and converted from the spot. 1-1 the final score as both sides shared the spoils in an intense game that will go down as a classic in TCC folklore.
