Atlantic Business continued their 100% record at home by smashing Sporting Lagos 6-0.
Both sides started the game with energy, testing either goalkeeper. But it was the hosts who went in front in the 39th minute.
Olumide Akinwande, who had come on seven minutes earlier, cut in from the right before shooting into the top right of the goal with a powerful strike. Talk about making an instant impact.
Four minutes later, one became two. Daniel Godwin, put through on goal with a line-breaking pass, tucked the ball beneath the goalie’s arms to heap pressure on the visitors.
The storyline continued in the 2nd half, the way it ended in the first, with Atlantic Business dominating the clash.
Nine minutes into the half, Coach Japhet’s boys scored a third thanks to Gbenga Johnson’s effort before Donald bagged his brace in the 71st minute after bullying his way past his markers. Donald’s was the first of three goals scored in a six minute run – with Olumide (74’) and Kehinde Moses (77’) rounding up the goal fest.
The result means Atlantic Business have now scored 15 goals in four home games this season, keeping three clean sheets. Talk about a fortress!

An impact sub who scored a double despite starting from the bench.
