It’s lonely at the top again for Beyond Limits as they picked up their second away victory of the season at Valiant.
Things started out as a cagey affair between the two sides as the chances were far and in between. The highlight of the half came in the 27th minute when Valentine’s dipping freekick almost broke the deadlock. His effort would however be parried by the goalkeeper as the game remained goalless.
The game however came alive in the second half as both sides intensified their efforts. First, Valentine was at it again, as his effort was tipped over the bar. Then Sodiq Lawal was called into serious action as he pulled off a last-minute goal-line clearance to keep the game level.
Valentine, for all his efforts, would eventually break the deadlock in the 72nd minute, heading home from a corner kick. Okemute’s 85th minute goal was the final nail in the coffin as the visitors shrugged off their opponents.
The result sees them return to the summit of the table while Valiant’s struggles at the bottom continues.
