Dannaz secured a second victory of the season in style as they put four past Iganmu. It was a first win since their last league win which came three weeks ago.
The hosts couldn’t have asked for a better start as they opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Shuaib Muhammed was on hand to tap into an empty net after Ogunrinola Oluwafemi and John Thompson combined well on the right.
25 minutes later, Iganmu pulled one back through Ibrahim Raheem. And a comeback seemed to be on the cards.
The hosts however had other ideas, starting with Shuaib Muhammed getting his brace in the 38th minute. The midfielder, while racing onto Oyegunle Muiz’s pass, beat the offside trap, and finished off the move with a low shot to restore Dannaz’s lead.
Same man would go on to bag his hat-trick in the 53rd minute. The midfielder lost his marker in the 18-yard area and scored from close range to strength Dannaz’s grip on the game. Adebayo Damilola’s 77th minute shot was too hot for Ohia Mikel in goal to hand. The second-half substitute would go on to score Dannaz’s fourth of the game, handing Coach Bashiru Fatai’s side a comprehensive win.
It is Dannaz’s biggest win of the season, a huge boost for a side that has endured more losses than wins this season. Iganmu, on the other hand, continue to search for a first win of the season.
