Sporting Lagos missed out on a chance to remain at the top as they slipped to a 4-2 defeat at Broad City.
The Lagosians were already on the back foot eight minutes into the game. Jeremiah Christopher danced his way past two markers before sending his shot into the roof of the net.
The Lagosians would find their feet as the game progressed. They would also go on to draw level in the 21st minute as Fuad Ojediran’s header was too powerful for Ibrahim Ramat’s gloves. Broad City would however regain their lead two minutes later, with Jeremiah Christopher getting his brace.
The youngster scored his third in the 34th minute, his shot bouncing off the base of the post and into the net. He would go on to get a fourth of the game in the second half after Lucky John pulled one back for the visitors in the 65th minute.
For a third time this season, Broad City scored four times in a game. It’s no wonder they’re now third on the log.
