Atlantic Business Maintain 100% Home Record with VOE Win

Kanu Ugochukwu’s 77th-minute goal for VOE came a little too late as Atlantic Business continued their 100% home record with a 4-2 victory.

The hosts began the game in the best way possible, scoring in the first minute. Dimeji Kilani, after beating the offside trap, finished off his chance smoothly to put the hosts in front.

By the 10th minute however, VOE had drawn level, with Hayyu reminding everyone just how dangerous he is. In the 37th minute, VOE missed a golden opportunity to take the lead, with Friday Cornelius making a great goal line block despite facing three VOE players.

The visitors were made to rue that chance in the second half as Dimeji Kilani struck again in the 59th minute, tapping into an empty net to put the hosts ahead. Six minutes later, Atlantic continued their business with a third, a penalty converted by Damilare Johnson after Donald Godwin was brought down.

In the 72nd minute they added a fourth, with Olumide and Donald combining well to force an own goal out of the VOE defense. It’s the second time Coach Daniel Japhet’s team have scored four goals in a TCC League home game.
