Beyond Limits Steal Win with Late Winner

Beyond Limits bagged a second win on the bounce with a 1-0 victory over Dannaz.

The hosts, despite dominating the game from the start, were uncharacteristically wasteful upfront. While the visitors struggled to contain Beyond Limits’ midfield creativity, the finishing was non-existent.

In the second half, the hosts continued to labour in the same manner, creating but not converting. Touch after touch in the box was either skied over the goal or played weakly into the waiting hands of the goalkeeper.

In the 58th minute, Saka Yusuf created the biggest scoring chance of the game. After dribbling past three markers, he however saw his shot tipped over by the goalkeeper. 

The hosts continued to push for that evasive goal, and got another chance to break the deadlock in the 85th minute. With Dannaz on the back foot, Daniel Arierhi was sent through on goal with only the goalkeeper to beat. A last ditch tackle however forced him to drag his shot wide of the goal. 

A game which seemed destined for a draw however took a turn in the 6th minute of stoppage time. Dannaz’s failure to clear their lines gifted Beyond Limits possession in enemy territory. Taiwo Olarinsoye’s low shot from a cutback from the right rolled into the net, to the elation of the home crowd and the dejection of the Cedars.
