Imperial Bounce Back to Winning Ways With Second-Half Rally

Late goals and second half drama was the order of the day as Imperial came from behind to defeat Atlantic Business.

Fans had to endure a quiet start to the game as both sides were cautious with their approach. The first goal didn’t come until the 41st minute when Chinedu Umeh rose highest in the box to head the ball past Kator in goal.

Imperial didn’t kick into gear until the second half. And when they did, they didn’t hold back the goals. Three quick goals in the first 15 minutes put them firmly in front, cruising to victory. And while Chinedu Umeh scored two more goals – in the 80th and 90th minute – Imperial had the last say with Joel Ashuku’s 85th minute goal proving to be the difference.
