VOE Raid Lions’ Den, Move Up to Sixth

VOE FA secured a second win of the season in style as they outmuscled Dino for a slender win.

The newcomers, on enemy territory, found themselves on the backfoot early in the game as Hassan Agbede broke the deadlock with a fine left-footed strike.

Unfazed, the newcomers pulled one back just minutes after as Edeh Obinna was in the right place at the right time to score from an almost-impossible angle.

Fuelled by the equalizer and Dino’s missed chances, Coach Olanrewaju’s boys pressed hard and got a second.

A cross from the left flank found Edeh in the six-yard box with an open goal at his mercy. The striker however missed the ball, fluffing the chance. But an onrushing Muhammad Sodiq was on hand to tap home from close range and put the visitors in front.

There was no coming back for the hosts as they suffered their first defeat of the season.
