Gbagada suffered a second loss in a row as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Atlantic Business.
The hosts grew into the game a scrappy start, forcing Gbagada into making a block in the 15th minute. In the 25th minute, their visitors broke the deadlock, reminding the Business Team of what’s in front of them. The goal was however chalked off for offside upon review.
Despite dominating play, the hosts were forced to end the half empty-handed, with both sides going into the break level.
Atlantic Business continued their dominance in the 2nd half, with Dimeji Kilani and Tobi Ewarawon threatening to break the deadlock. They were however contained by the Gbagada defense until the 68th minute.
The visitors allowed Tobi Ewarawon to drive the ball from the midfield. With the goal in his sight, he unleashed a low shot from 25 yards out, which bumbled beneath Samuel Bassey’s arms and into the net.
The goal was enough to secure a second win in a row for Atlantic Business, while condemning Gbagada to a third consecutive defeat.
